It Started With an Idea
CupNest wasn't born overnight. The idea of starting a food business had been on our founder's mind for nearly eight years. But there was always one thing that mattered more than simply launching a brand — creating something honest, something we would genuinely enjoy ourselves.
After years of exploring ideas, experimenting and searching for the right opportunity, inspiration finally came from a simple question: Why do so many instant drink mixes taste so artificial?
We wanted to create something different. Drink mixes that were convenient to prepare, yet offered the richness, flavour and familiarity of something made at home.
It starts with what goes into the blend.
Cocoa, tea, raw sugar and spices — carefully chosen for flavour, aroma and quality.
We searched for ingredients worth bringing home.
We sampled ingredients from different parts of India, comparing flavour, aroma and quality until we found the ones that felt right for our blends.
Months of Research, Countless Tastings
Turning that idea into a product took nearly six months of research, experimentation and ingredient testing.
We explored suppliers from across India, comparing ingredients for their flavour, aroma, texture and consistency. Some worked beautifully. Others didn't quite meet our expectations. We kept experimenting until we found ingredients and suppliers we were happy with.
Today, our cocoa and spices come from Kerala, tea and raw sugar from Uttarakhand, milk powder from Tamil Nadu, and fruit powders from Madhya Pradesh. Every ingredient has been chosen with care, because the quality of the final cup begins long before anything reaches the mixing bowl.
From Our Kitchen to Your Cup
What began as an idea has now become a growing collection of hot chocolates and lattes, each with its own flavour and personality.
Some are inspired by familiar favourites, while others bring something a little unexpected to the cup. We love experimenting with new flavours, discovering interesting combinations and creating drinks we'd be excited to try ourselves.
And this is just the beginning. There are plenty more ideas we're looking forward to bringing to life.
